How can I collect my rail tickets at the station?
Using a self service ticket machine (Ticket Xpress/FastTicket*) to collect tickets
Don't line up to collect tickets at the station ticket office. Collection from a self service ticket machine (Ticket Xpress or FastTicket*) is straight forward, you only need to remember to bring 2 things when collecting:
1. The credit card that was used to make the booking.
2. The FastTicket reference number given to you when the booking was made. For details on where you can find your reference number Click here to access My Account and click on Check you order status.
Pre-paid tickets are ready for collection 2 hours after purchase. If you get stuck, instructions are given on the screen or ask a member of National Express station staff who will be happy to help.
When at the self service ticket machine:
Insert the credit or debit card used to make the booking (you will be asked to enter your PIN to verify the card)
Key in your unique FastTicket Reference number if requested.
Your ticket(s) will then be dispensed.
The screen of the self service ticket machine contains full instructions.
Please note: If you have made a booking on behalf of other travellers the booking confirmation email will be sent to the email address displayed on the delivery details page.
How do I get my Ticket Xpress/ FastTicket reference number?
Our online booking system supplied by the trainline.com will email your 8-digit alpha-numeric FastTicket reference number to the email you select during booking. For your reference a copy of the reference number will be held in your My Account page until you make your journey.
Login to my account now. If you didn't receive your FastTicket* reference, or can't find it, please contact us on 0870 3334876 with details of your purchase.
Where can I pick my ticket up?
Tickets are ready for collection just 2 hours after ordering.
A number of National Express East Anglia train stations have self service ticket machines available (at London Liverpool Street these machines are branded as Ticket Xpress), although some require you to pick your ticket up at the ticket office instead. Stations that allow ticket on departure collection are listed on the delivery options page (step 4 of 7) when booking online, please check your nearest station before you select this method, or alternatively, use one of the other methods given.
Self service ticket machines are generally located nearby ticket offices. You are also able to collect your tickets at self service ticket machines serviced by other train operators.
Alternatively you can opt to have your ticket posted to you when you book.
* Please be aware that Ticket Xpress is the name given to automated ticketing machines at National Express East Anglia. Self service ticket machines may also be called FASTticket at stations serviced by other train operators.
