Lone traveller service

National Express East Anglia and NCP are proud to present the launch of our Lone Traveller booking service.

How it works

To provide peace of mind whilst traveling alone at night, we have a lone traveller scheme at selected car parks. Customer Service Assistants are available to accompany you from our trains to your vehicle and vice versa.

The service is available weekdays all year round (except bank holidays) and may be pre-booked by phone or by email. The service is available from 17:30 until the last train.

How to book

Customers wishing to use the Lone Traveller service must pre-book by contacting NCP, either by phone or online.

NCP will acknowledge all online bookings by return email within 1 hour of the booking request. If, for any reason, NCP cannot complete a booking they will notify the customer a minimum of 2 hours in advance of their scheduled arrival.

Our Customer Service Assistants will provide a range of support and information to customers:

  • car park tariffs

  • train times

  • emergency contact phone numbers such as the British Transport Police and local emergency services

  • contact numbers for local and national mechanics and garages (and will phone and arrange for breakdown cover to attend
    the station)

  • assistance for mobility impaired customers

  • de-ice vehicle windscreens
